YAM June TNT @ Nihon Mura
We went for Japanese food at Nihon Mura for the month of June. What attracted us was the price of 99cents per plate of sushi! A friend from Japan was in town and decided to invite her along...see if you can spot her from the pictures =)
But of course, the star of the night had to be baby jarius! Isn't he adorable?
Ok, now back to the food. 99cents per plate of sushi was an attractive offer but it could be missed, as the taste wasn't something to rave about. The restaurant had other dishes to offer as well, from a great variety of teppanyaki, yakitori, soups, ramen, bento etc. This is how it works: one had just go to the conveyor belt and take any amount of your desired sushi. You can also make your selection by walking around the food selection area, carrying a round metal holder and put in an ice-cream stick, which comes written with various food descriptions, leave that holder at the cashier counter and your food would be served to your table later. It's an interesting concept and guests are welcomed to choose as many ice-cream sticks as they want (the more, the merrier right? definitely means more business for the restaurant). Yet, the company definitely wins over the food that night =P
