End of work week ramblings

It's 5 Sept! And yes, it's a Friday...haha, not that it makes any difference to me since I work on Saturdays as well...but to all who have 5-day work week, they'll be most relieved that it's Friday and that means no work tomorrow! Hence, TGIF!
Interestingly, received a call at work recently and the person on the other line mentioned that 'today is hump day.' Probably sensing my bewilderment, he continued that today was Wednesday, the middle of the work week and that just as how camels have humps in the middle of their backs, Wednesdays are known as 'hump days'. Ok...interesting but weird...oh well, whatever...
Anyway, decided to post because got inspired by a close friend, hahaha, somewhat...spoke to my friend on the phone last night and was pleasantly surprised to find out that this friend of mine actually reads my blog! Hahaha, so in order to increase my readership as well as keep the current readers, I shall attempt to blog more =P (ok, key word=attempt)
On another note, found it rather intriguing that this friend only noticed the links that were on the blog recently despite the many times the blog has been visited by the friend. It made me wonder: how well do we really know the things/people around us? Do we actually take the time to pause and take note of our surroundings or do we just presume that things're the same and it wouldn't change?
Was just thinking about our interpersonal relationships with others in this aspect, do we notice that our family and friends are evolving day-by-day? Even the person that we could have been friends with for a long time, is slowly but surely changing due to the difference in experiences faced each day. Sometimes, even the things that remained the same could be overlooked due to familiarity. It is possible that we can be so used to or familiar with someone that we don't see certain aspects of the person and then as time goes by, one day we could suddenly say something like 'eh! I didn't notice that you got a mole on the left side of your face', when that mole could have existed since birth. =P
This reminds me that we should learn to cherish those around us, to take note of their well-being and changes and to accept these changes in love =)
